Banned Words lets you list the expressions you don't want to see in chat. Messages containing a listed word are blocked automatically on your channel.
How to use it
- Type the word you want to block into the form and add it.
- Saved words appear in the list; remove any you no longer need.
- Changes apply to your channel immediately.
If you need a more flexible filter
This tool keeps a plain word list. If you're dealing with messages that dodge the filter through spelling tricks (inserted letters, swapped characters), the word filter inside AI Moderation is a better fit: there you can choose plain text, regex or obfuscation modes and define a separate action per rule (delete, timeout, ban, warn).
FAQ
Why Kick only? The banned-word API is specific to Kick; YouTube's chat API has no equivalent.
Is the list case-sensitive? The filter works regardless of capitalisation.
Can I filter usernames too? This tool looks at message text; use AI Moderation for username filtering.
