Live Subtitles
Detect your speech live from the mic, translate it into 12 languages and show it as subtitles on your OBS screen.
Live Subtitles turns the speech from your microphone into text in real time, translates it into the language you choose and shows it as subtitles on your OBS screen, so viewers who speak another language can follow along.
How to set it up
- Choose the subtitle language and appearance settings.
- Copy the OBS link and add it to your scene via Add source → Browser.
- On this page click Start microphone and grant the browser microphone permission.
- Start speaking; the last recognised sentence appears in the preview on this page.
How it works
Speech recognition runs in your browser — your audio isn't uploaded to a server for processing. That means the tool works as long as this page, where the microphone is connected, stays open; if you leave, subtitles stop and you're warned first.
FAQ
How many languages can it translate into? 12 languages are supported.
Which platforms does it work on? The subtitles are added to your OBS scene, so the streaming platform doesn't matter.
What happens when I stop the mic? Stop microphone ends recognition; there's a separate button to clear the subtitles from the screen.
