Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program Launched The "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program," signed during a ceremony in Ankara, will provide 100 billion liras in resources to the manufacturing sector, which has faced difficulties accessing finance due to high interest rates.
Announced by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır and Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, the package aims to increase the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and protect employment levels.
Low-Interest Loans and Flexible Payment Terms Under the program, businesses will be offered loan opportunities of up to 50 million liras.
The loans will have a total maturity of up to 36 months, with the first 6 months being a grace period for principal payments.
Minister Kacır stated that financing costs would drop to approximately 23% through a 10-point support and guarantee facility provided by KOSGEB.
This regulation is designed to alleviate the interest burden on industrialists and facilitate investment.
Cash Contributions for Businesses Protecting Employment Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan announced that approximately 51 billion liras from the Unemployment Insurance Fund have been directly allocated to the manufacturing sector as part of this initiative.
In the employment phase of the program, employers in labor-intensive sectors—including textiles, ready-to-wear, leather, and furniture—who maintain their current employment levels will receive a monthly cash contribution of 3,500 TL per employee.
Applications to Begin in March Applications for this comprehensive support package, which affects approximately 221,000 workplaces, will be accepted starting in early March.
Loan allocation and application processes will be managed through public and private banks that have signed protocols under the program.
The support package is expected to provide significant momentum to production continuity and economic stability within the manufacturing industry.
