3 Increase Scenarios for 2026 Retiree Holiday Bonuses: Figures Revealed

Three different scenarios regarding the new year's payment amounts have been brought to the agenda of the economic management.
Three Different Increase Formulas on the Table According to information circulating in political circles, the following formulas are being evaluated for the increase in current bonus amounts: 5,000 TL Scenario: If the bonus is increased to this amount, retirees will receive a total of 10,000 TL annually.
5,500 TL Scenario: If this option is accepted, the total annual payment will reach 11,000 TL.
6,000 TL Scenario: As the highest option within budget possibilities, this increase would bring the total annual bonus to 12,000 TL.
Who Will Benefit from the Bonus?
In addition to SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Emekli Sandığı retirees, the holiday bonus is available to disability pension recipients, widows and orphans, those receiving the 65-plus age pension, relatives of martyrs, veterans, and security guards.
Calculation for Widow and Orphan Pension Recipients Bonus payments will be distributed according to the monthly entitlement rates (shares) of the beneficiaries.
Citizens receiving widow and orphan pensions will receive payments at rates of 75%, 50%, or 25% of the determined amount.
For example, if the bonus is 6,000 TL, a beneficiary with a 75% share will receive 4,500 TL.
For those receiving permanent incapacity income, the payment is calculated based on the incapacity rate, while those receiving the 65-plus age pension will receive the full payment without any deductions.
Estimated 2026 Payment Schedule Since the Ramadan Feast falls on March 20-24 in 2026, the first payments are anticipated to be made in the second week of March.
According to the draft schedule, payments are expected on the following dates: Bağ-Kur Retirees: March 9 Emekli Sandığı Retirees: March 10 SSK Retirees: March 11-13 Final amounts and the official calendar will be clarified with an official announcement from the government.
