51 Billion Lira Employment Support for Manufacturing: 1.1 Million Workers Targeted

Employment Protection Mobilization in Manufacturing Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır attended the signing ceremony for the "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program," launched under KOSGEB.
During the ceremony, Minister Işıkhan announced that approximately 51 billion liras from the Unemployment Insurance Fund have been allocated directly to the manufacturing sector.
This substantial budget aims to bolster production capacity in the industry and protect approximately 1.1 million jobs.
The program includes both cash assistance for employers and financial facilities for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
Monthly Cash Support of 3,500 Liras for Employers Under the new support program, employers will receive a monthly payment of 3,500 liras for each job they maintain.
These supports will be offset against the employers' public debts, providing direct financial relief to businesses.
36-Month Financing Shield for SMEs The second phase of the program introduces steps to facilitate access to finance for manufacturing SMEs.
The loan package, which covers more than 221,000 workplaces, is designed to provide financial breathing room for businesses.
Through this financing model, SMEs can benefit from loan opportunities with a maximum 6-month grace period on the principal and a total maturity of up to 36 months.
Minister Işıkhan noted that a total of 1.382 trillion liras in incentive payments have been made since 2004, emphasizing the importance of production and employment in national development.
