Agricultural Guarantee Support Program Launched: 30 Billion Lira Loan Volume for Producers

Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı has launched the Agricultural Guarantee Support Program with eight participating banks to assist producers facing collateral issues, creating an initial loan volume of 30 billion lira.

Collateral Relief for Producers Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı introduced the Agricultural Guarantee Support Program at a ceremony held at the Istanbul Finance Center.
The program aims to establish a new financial bridge for producers who face collateral barriers when accessing financing.
Minister Yumaklı announced that guarantees will be provided for 30 billion liras worth of agricultural loans in the first phase.
Strategic Cooperation with Eight Banks Launched with the participation of eight banks from both the public and private sectors, the program is being implemented with the support of the Credit Guarantee Fund (KGF).
Minister Yumaklı stated that they aim to rapidly increase the KGF guarantee utilization rate in the agricultural sector, which currently stands at 1 percent.
He also noted that the budget will be increased and new banks will be included in the system in the future.
Additional Support for Production Planning Emphasizing that agriculture is a matter of strategic security, Yumaklı stated that a structural transformation is being implemented for food supply security and rural development.
In this context, he noted that additional support will be provided to producers who act in accordance with the designated production planning, including a 20 percent interest rate discount.
2025 Goals and Financial Inclusivity Referring to sectoral financing data, Minister Yumaklı recalled that approximately 661 billion TL in treasury-subsidized loans and profit-share support were provided through Ziraat Bank, Ziraat Katılım, and Agricultural Credit Cooperatives in 2025.
Stating that the number of producers benefiting from these loans has reached 1 million, Yumaklı added that the new guarantee program will contribute to the sustainability of production by making the existing financial structure more inclusive.
