Annual Distribution of Fines The sanctions imposed by the Competition Board as part of market audits over the last three years have been clarified.
Following 157 investigations concluded between 2023 and 2025, enterprises were fined a total of 13,230,470,398 Turkish Liras.
According to the data, 63 investigations were resolved in 2023, 49 in 2024, and 45 in 2025.
When analyzed on an annual basis, the highest fine amount was recorded in 2024, reaching 7.856 billion lira.
The Board imposed sanctions worth 2.697 billion lira in 2023 and 2.676 billion lira in 2025.
Food and Agriculture Sectors Under Scrutiny The food and agriculture sectors were among the priority areas in the Competition Board's audits.
As a result of the inspections, administrative fines were issued to 516 legal entities and one individual.
A significant portion of the sectoral investigations resulted in sanctions.
Violations were detected in 14 out of 15 investigations opened in 2023, 13 out of 16 in 2024, and all 5 investigations opened in 2025.
During this process, the number of enterprises fined in the food and agriculture sectors reached 174.
Collection of Fines and Transfer to the Treasury In a statement by the Ministry of Trade, it was emphasized that the Competition Authority does not have the power to collect administrative fines directly.
The fines are collected through the tax offices to which the relevant enterprises are affiliated and then transferred to the Treasury.
All accrual processes are monitored through the Public Receivables Collection Platform (KATP).

The Turkish Competition Board has issued administrative fines totaling 13.23 billion lira following 157 investigations conducted between 2023 and 2025.
