Investigation Launched Into Verbal Abuse of Headscarved Passenger on Istanbul Bus

A woman traveling with her dog on an IETT bus reportedly directed heavy insults and threats at a headscarved passenger who warned her that the animal should be wearing a muzzle.
The tension escalated as other passengers joined in, reminding the dog owner of the requirement for pets to be muzzled on public transport.
Claims of Being a Prosecutor According to witness statements and recordings of the incident, the aggressor identified herself as a prosecutor and used severe language against the victim.
The suspect was recorded saying, "I will take you down; I will put air into your brain that doesn't get any.
The police are under my command.
I will kill you; children die because of bigots like you." "I am a citizen, why am I a bigot?
Is it because I wear a headscarf?" The victim defended herself against the insults with these words during the confrontation.
Identification of Suspect Underway Following the public outcry over the incident, the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an ex officio investigation.
The legal process is being conducted under the charges of "Threatening" and "Inciting the public to hatred and hostility or insulting." Law enforcement agencies have been instructed to identify and apprehend the suspect.
Authorities stated that the incident is being thoroughly investigated in all its dimensions.
