Justice Minister Gürlek: New Era Begins in Commercial Lawsuits

Comprehensive Change in Judicial Districts Justice Minister Akın Gürlek has announced a significant step aimed at accelerating the resolution process of commercial disputes and strengthening the environment of commercial trust.
Following a decision by the Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSK) published in the Official Gazette, the jurisdictions of the civil courts of commerce in Istanbul have been restructured.
Single Jurisdiction Across Istanbul Under the new regulation, the judicial districts of the Bakırköy, Istanbul Anatolia, and Küçükçekmece civil courts of commerce have been separated from the boundaries of their respective heavy penal courts.
With this change, the jurisdiction of the Istanbul civil courts of commerce has been expanded to cover the entire administrative boundaries of Istanbul province.
This move aims to ensure unity in practice and resolve operational inefficiencies.
Goal of Fast and Effective Trials Minister Gürlek emphasized that efforts will continue to provide judicial services to citizens in the most effective manner.
Stating that shortening the conclusion time of commercial lawsuits is among their priorities, Gürlek said: "We are acting with determination to increase commercial trust and ensure that cases are concluded as quickly as possible.
This regulation will increase efficiency within the judicial system."
