Justice Minister Gürlek on Fake Prosecutor: "We Will Not Compromise on the Rule of Law"

Minister Gürlek Emphasizes the Rule of Law Justice Minister Akın Gürlek has issued a statement regarding the legal proceedings initiated against an individual who posed as a Public Prosecutor to threaten and insult a passenger on public transportation in Istanbul.
Minister Gürlek stated that no concessions will be made regarding the principle of the rule of law against the misuse of judicial authority and titles.
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that the individual's actions will be meticulously evaluated within the framework of the Turkish Penal Code.
Suspect Taken Into Custody Following technical investigations, the individual identified as Y.S.
was apprehended and detained by law enforcement forces.
It was reported that the suspect is being processed for the crimes of "threatening" and "inciting or insulting the public to hatred and enmity." The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office noted that the judicial process will be conducted transparently and that all legal procedures will be fully implemented.
