Emphasis on Earthquake-Resistant and Planned Urbanization Speaking at the ceremony, Hasan Suver, Chief Advisor to the President and Deputy Minister of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, drew attention to Turkey's earthquake reality and the fight against climate change.
Suver stated that urban transformation is of vital importance and emphasized the government's determination to produce safe housing for citizens in need.
Adana Governor Mustafa Yavuz highlighted the importance of housing projects launched following the February 6, 2023, earthquakes.
Yavuz noted that the project aims for safe and planned urbanization, adding that the introduction of new housing is expected to lead to a decrease in rent and property prices in the city.
Over 165,000 Applications Received Kazım Bayburt, Head of the TOKİ Implementation Department, announced that a total of 165,173 applications were made for the projects in Adana and its districts.
Bayburt stated that social housing projects will continue with determination until every citizen who does not own a home is provided with one.
The ceremony, which included representatives from political parties and local government officials, concluded with the lottery drawing.
The 12,400 beneficiaries have now earned the right to move into their modern and earthquake-resistant new homes.
