Maz Mobilite CEO Halil Yılmaz: Local Technology and R&D Essential for Barrier-Free Living

The Relationship Between Technology and Social Participation Halil Yılmaz, Founder and CEO of Maz Mobilite, stated that the active participation of individuals with disabilities in social life is directly linked to access to technological mobility tools.

Yılmaz noted that technological interventions carry critical value in easing the burden on healthcare systems and increasing social welfare, providing long-term economic and social gains.
Turkey's Mobility Vision and Domestic Production Referring to the "Mobility Vehicles and Technologies Roadmap" prepared by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Yılmaz said that Turkey's goals in micromobility and barrier-free transportation have become clear.
According to the report, Turkey aims to become a production hub for next-generation mobility vehicles compatible with autonomous and connected vehicle technologies.
"In line with strategic goals, we are focusing on R&D projects that will reduce foreign dependency in barrier-free living technologies.
We are determined to develop world-class products by combining Turkey's engineering power with empathy-oriented design processes," Yılmaz stated.
Smart Cities and Mobility Justice Expressing that the global mobility market is undergoing a radical change with artificial intelligence and connected technologies, Yılmaz noted that barrier-free living technologies are no longer just mechanical support systems but have transformed into smart platforms that process user data.
He added that modular and eco-friendly transportation solutions offering equal movement opportunities for everyone will be at the center of future smart cities.
Personalized Solutions and Accessibility Pointing out that the limited production of electric wheelchairs in Turkey increases dependence on imported products and costs, Yılmaz said that Maz Mobilite aims to make these products more accessible through domestic production.
The company aims to improve users' quality of life by providing personalized optimizations with physiotherapist support for solutions such as electric and manual wheelchairs, pediatric strollers for disabled children, and hospital beds.
