Minister Çiftçi Delivers Message of Determination at JÖAK Iftar: "Security as Strong as a Strong Economy"

Minister Çiftçi Meets with JÖAK Personnel During a program organized for the month of Ramadan, Minister Çiftçi met with the personnel of the Gendarmerie Commando Special Public Security Command (JÖAK) at an iftar dinner.
The event, attended by Gendarmerie General Commander General Ali Çardakcı and numerous personnel, focused on Türkiye’s security vision and the strategic importance of domestic moves in the defense industry.
The Historical Mission of the Gendarmerie Addressing the personnel after the iftar, Minister Çiftçi drew attention to the deep-rooted history and sense of justice of the Gendarmerie organization.
Emphasizing the historical depth of the institution, Çiftçi stated that the Gendarmerie is the modern representative of a tradition of order and justice that has spanned centuries.
Operational and Humanitarian Duties of JÖAK Touching upon the critical roles JÖAK has undertaken since its establishment on September 1, 1999, Minister Çiftçi noted that the unit is not only an operational force but also a hand of compassion.
He highlighted the sacrifices made by Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) teams during disasters such as the Van and Kahramanmaraş earthquakes, as well as floods and fires, emphasizing that JÖAK is a strategic state power that comes to the nation's aid in difficult times.
Defense Industry and Strategic Superiority Noting that the domestic production rate achieved in Türkiye’s defense industry provides a significant advantage in the field, Minister Çiftçi stated that local and national systems increase speed, precision, and coordination capacity.
He expressed that when these capabilities are combined with the experience of the Gendarmerie, great superiority is achieved in the fight against terrorism, organized crime, and cyber threats.
Concluding his speech with the "Century of Türkiye" vision, Çiftçi stated that a strong economy can only be protected by a strong security structure, and that national moves in the defense industry form the backbone of this deterrence.
