51 Billion Lira Resource for the Manufacturing Sector Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan has announced the details of a new support package titled the "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program." Under this initiative, approximately 51 billion Turkish Liras will be directly transferred to the sector.
The program will prioritize labor-intensive sectors such as textiles, ready-to-wear clothing, leather, and furniture.
It aims to establish a three-year support mechanism specifically for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Goal: Protecting 1.1 Million Jobs Minister Işıkhan emphasized that the program aims to protect a total of 1.1 million jobs.
The implementation is designed to contribute to the continuity of production and the workforce within the industry.
In his statement regarding the program, Minister Işıkhan shared the following details: "With the Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program, we have placed a resource of approximately 51 billion liras directly at the service of our manufacturing sector.
In our sectors with high employment capacity, particularly textiles, ready-to-wear, leather, and furniture, we are providing a monthly cash support of 3,500 TL per employee to every employer who maintains their employment levels."
