Cabinet Meeting Focuses on Bonus Payments With the approach of the month of Ramadan, preparations for the holiday bonus payments for approximately 17 million retirees have gained momentum.
The level of this year's bonus, which was increased to a total of 4,000 TL last year, will be comprehensively discussed during the Presidential Cabinet Meeting.
Hike Scenarios on the Table Various scenarios based on different economic indicators are being considered for the bonus increase.
The options currently under evaluation include: A 12.19% increase (matching the SSK and Bağ-Kur hike rate), rounding the amount to 4,500 TL.
An 18.47% increase, bringing the total to 4,738 TL.
A 25% increase, reaching 5,000 TL.
A 27% increase, parallel to the minimum wage hike, resulting in 5,080 TL.
Higher increase rates of 30% and 35%, which would raise the bonus to 5,200 TL or 5,400 TL respectively.
The payments are planned to be deposited into accounts just before the holidays, following the schedule determined by the Social Security Institution (SGK).
The bonuses will benefit not only current retirees but also new retirees, individuals on disability pensions, and beneficiaries receiving widow or orphan pensions.
For the beneficiaries of deceased retirees, payments will be made in proportion to their benefit entitlement rates.
For instance, a beneficiary receiving a 75% share of a pension will receive 75% of the determined total bonus amount.
