Second Wave of the Investigation Teams from the Muğla Provincial Police Department's Cyber Crimes Branch have deepened the investigation into disinformation and insulting posts shared via the social media account named "Sakaraltı Sakarüstü." Following technical examinations, eight more suspects were detained in a second-wave operation targeting identified individuals.
Two Arrested in the First Operation In the initial phase of the investigation conducted on January 19, 2026, simultaneous raids were carried out in the Menteşe, Bodrum, Seydikemer, and Fethiye districts, where numerous digital materials were seized.
At that time, suspects Kürşat Keskin and Cemal Demirtaş were arrested and sent to prison, while P.B., S.K., S.C.S., H.D., and İ.B.
were released under judicial control.
Eight Suspects Taken to Police Headquarters As part of the expanded investigation, raids were conducted at newly identified addresses, resulting in the apprehension of H.T., M.G., M.T., S.K., U.K., O.A., H.D., and S.C.S.
The procedures for the eight detained suspects are ongoing at the police station, and the seized digital materials have been taken for examination.
