Chat Window

The Chat Window brings your channel chat onto your OBS scene. What viewers type shows up on stream, so even people who don't have chat open stay part of the conversation.

How to set it up

  1. Pick a design and set the font size to suit your stream resolution.
  2. Tick the streaming platforms you use; optionally show a platform icon next to each message.
  3. Choose whether avatars, badges, command messages (those starting with !) and bot messages are displayed.
  4. Copy the OBS link and add it to your scene via Add source → Browser.

Fine tuning

Perspective angle lets you tilt the window into your scene for a three-dimensional look. With timeout enabled, older messages fade away after the period you set — which keeps a fast-moving chat from filling the screen.

FAQ

I stream on two platforms — will both show? Yes. Messages from the platforms you select are merged into one window, optionally with a platform icon.
Command messages clutter my screen. Turn off "Show commands" and messages starting with ! won't appear.
Can I hide bot messages? Yes, bot messages have their own toggle.
