The four-article draft, which proposes amendments to Internet Law No.
5651, aims to reorganize children's presence on social networks and their digital gaming habits.
According to the draft, platforms will be obligated to establish the necessary technical infrastructure to verify users' ages and effectively implement this restriction.
This step is expected to prevent children's access to uncontrolled content and increase parental supervision.
The regulation envisages heavy sanctions for social network providers that do not comply with the established rules and age limits.
Alignment with Global Standards Minister Göktaş stated that Turkey's move parallels similar practices implemented in countries such as Denmark.
The regulation is planned to be submitted to the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) shortly to be enacted into law.
