Vietnam National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man Conducts Strategic Visit to Economic and Finance Committee

Strategic Review for the New Working Year National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man visited the Standing Committee of the Economic and Finance Committee on the first working day of the Lunar New Year.
The meeting, held at the National Assembly building, was attended by Vice Chairmen Nguyen Duc Hai and Vu Hong Thanh, along with other high-ranking state officials.
Legislative Achievements and 80th Anniversary Celebration Tran Thanh Man extended his congratulations on the 80th anniversary of the Economic and Finance Committee and its recognition with the Second Class Independence Order.
He emphasized that the committee's dedicated work in preparing 89 laws passed by the National Assembly in 2025 serves as a foundation for restructuring the political system and national development.
Economic Indicators and Record Growth During the meeting, it was noted that the GDP growth rate exceeded 8%, with the economic size reaching approximately 514 billion USD and per capita income surpassing 5,000 USD.
Foreign trade volume reached a record level of 930 billion USD.
The opportunities created by General Secretary To Lam's visit to the United States in removing trade barriers were also highlighted.
2026-2030 Period and Double-Digit Growth Target Sharing his vision for the upcoming period, Tran Thanh Man stated that double-digit growth targets must be achieved for the 2026-2030 term.
In line with these strategic goals, it was expressed that sustainable development and structural reforms should be included in the committee's priority action program.
