Sectoral Divergence in Borsa Istanbul The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul completed the first half of the day with a 0.24% decrease, closing at 13,771.49 points.
During the session, the index reached a low of 13,751.89 points and a high of 13,914.32 points.
On a sectoral basis, the technology index diverged positively from the market with a 1.27% gain.
In contrast, the services index fell by 0.05%, the industrial index by 0.22%, and the financial index by 0.45%.
Stock Performance and Trading Volume Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 48 increased in value, 51 decreased, and one remained unchanged.
The stocks with the highest trading volume during the first half of the day were: Turkish Airlines (THY) ASELSAN Sasa Polyester Türkiye İş Bankası (C) Akbank While liquidity continued to concentrate on these leading stocks, selective sectoral movements by investors were noteworthy.
Developments in Commodity Markets In international markets, the price of gold per ounce rose by 0.5% to $5,028, while the price of a barrel of London Brent crude oil fell by 0.9% to $70.9.
This activity in the commodity markets was seen as a reflection of shifts in global risk appetite.
