Minister Işıkhan Announces 51 Billion Lira Support Package for Manufacturing Sector

Strategic Support for the Manufacturing Industry Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan has detailed the "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program," conducted in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
Minister Işıkhan stated that approximately 51 billion TL from the Unemployment Insurance Fund has been made directly available to the manufacturing sector.
This move is emphasized as an effort to stabilize Turkey's production capacity and labor market.
Priority for Manufacturing in Incentives Recalling that a total of 1.382 trillion TL in incentive payments has been made since 2004, Minister Işıkhan highlighted the importance of the premium support known publicly as the "5-point incentive." While the general premium incentive rate is set to decrease to 2 points by 2026, it was announced that the manufacturing sector will be exempt from this reduction, maintaining the advantageous 5-point rate.
To date, the total support provided under this category has exceeded 806 billion TL.
Employment Protection and Financial Ease The new program is built on two main pillars.
In the first stage, the provided support will create direct financial relief by being offset against employers' public debts.
The second stage focuses on access to financing for SMEs.
In this context, more than 221,000 workplaces will be offered loan opportunities with a maximum 6-month grace period on the principal and maturities of up to 36 months.
Expressing gratitude for the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, KOSGEB, and İŞKUR, Işıkhan added that these supports guarantee the continuity of production for hundreds of thousands of businesses.
