Closing Ceremony in Verona The 25th Winter Olympic Games concluded with an official closing ceremony held at the Olympic Arena in Verona, Italy.
The ceremony was enriched with artistic performances reflecting Italian culture, modern dance, and musical acts.
Athletes from participating nations took part in the traditional parade of flags.
The event was attended by International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Kirsty Coventry, along with diplomats, IOC members, and presidents of various national Olympic committees.
Medal Ceremony As part of the closing program, medals were awarded to athletes who placed in the final events of the cross-country skiing discipline.
In the women's 50-kilometer classical mass start, Ebba Andersson of Sweden, Heidi Weng of Norway, and Nadja Kaelin of Switzerland were honored on the podium.
In the men's events, the podium was occupied by Norwegian athletes Johannes Hoesflot Klaebo, Martin Loewstroem Nyenget, and Emil Iversen.
Handover of the Olympic Flag The Olympic flag was officially handed over to France, which will host the 2030 Winter Olympic Games.
The flag was raised to the sound of the French national anthem and delivered to French representatives.
The games were officially declared closed as the symbolic Olympic flames in Milan and Cortina were extinguished.
