Arrest and Criminal Records Police in Ümraniye detained Ali Haydar Kurum after images posted on social media.
Kurum, who lives in Pendik, has 11 criminal records including attempted murder, assault, abuse of trust, threats, insults, and drug use.
He was taken to the Istanbul Police Department for further questioning and legal procedures.
Other Suspects Mehmet Fatih Tançalan, known as "Vanlı Kara Haydar," was also arrested in the same investigation and sent to prison.
Justice Minister's Statement Justice Minister Akın Gürlek said that social media is not an unregulated space and that content aimed at hiding or legitimizing illicit income through luxurious displays will be thoroughly examined by authorities.
He added that the state will respond with the necessary sensitivity to posts that undermine public peace and security.
Prosecutor's Statement The prosecutor's office announced that after financial investigations, the suspect was detained for money laundering related to criminal proceeds.
It also confirmed that the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office had launched an investigation and conducted searches and seizures.
