Borsa Istanbul Closes Higher: BIST 100 Index Reaches 13,934 Points

Market Performance The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul completed the day at 13,934.06 points, marking an increase of 129.85 points or 0.94% compared to the previous close.
Starting the day at 13,782.50 points, the index tested a low of 13,718.14 and a high of 13,934.06 during trading hours.
The BIST 30 index also saw gains, closing at 15,490.94 points with an increase of 212.34 points, or 1.39%.
Sectoral Indices and Stock Movements A sectoral analysis showed positive momentum across the board.
The technology index led the gains with a 2.09% increase, followed by the services index at 0.95%, the financial index at 0.86%, and the industrial index at 0.77%.
Among the stocks included in the BIST 100 index, 70 shares gained value, 26 declined, and 4 remained unchanged.
The highest trading volumes were recorded by Turkish Airlines (THY), ASELSAN, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Sasa Polyester, and Akbank.
Currency and Commodities The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (TCMB) announced the effective exchange rate for the US Dollar as 43.6577 TL for buying and 43.8326 TL for selling.
In international markets, London Brent crude oil was trading at $71.1 per barrel, down 0.7%.
Bond Market In the Borsa Istanbul Bonds and Bills Market, the 14 July 2027 maturity bond saw a simple yield of 33.76% and a compound yield of 36.60% in today's transactions.
