February 21, 2026 Electricity Generation Data: Wind Energy Takes the Lead

Resource Distribution in Electricity Generation Announced According to data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), renewable energy sources showed a remarkable performance in Turkey's daily electricity generation on February 21, 2026.
When daily production data is examined, wind power plants took the first place in total production with a share of 19.9%.
Renewable Sources and Imported Coal Follow The second highest production capacity after wind energy was achieved by dammed hydroelectric power plants with a share of 19.7%.
Imported coal power plants ranked third in the production list with a rate of 16.9%.
These announced figures once again demonstrated the strategic importance of domestic and renewable resources such as wind and water in Turkey's energy supply security.
