Wind Power Leads Electricity Generation According to data from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ), wind power plants took the top spot in Turkey's daily electricity production with a share of 19.9%.
On an hourly basis, the highest electricity consumption yesterday was recorded at 45,116 megawatt-hours at 10:00 AM, while the lowest consumption occurred at 4:00 AM with 34,852 megawatt-hours.
Production Breakdown Wind power plants led the generation mix, followed closely by hydroelectric and coal sources.
The distribution of the primary production sources is as follows: Wind power plants: 19.9% Dam-based hydroelectric power plants: 19.7% Imported coal power plants: 16.9%
