Financial Support Package for the TV Series Industry Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced a new financial support package for the television series industry during an event held at the Atatürk Cultural Center.
Under the project, which will be carried out in cooperation with the General Directorate of Cinema and the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), an incentive of $100,000 per episode will be provided to Turkish series broadcast abroad.
This step is expected to initiate a new period of growth for the Turkish TV series industry, which currently reaches approximately 1 billion viewers in 170 countries.
Multiplier Effect in Service Exports Şekib Avdagiç, President of the Service Exporters' Association (HİB), stated that the support in question would create a strategic multiplier effect in service exports.
Avdagiç noted that this incentive would positively impact not only producers but also many sectors that can establish organic links with the series, such as fashion and food.
New promotional agreements with brands are anticipated to strengthen the position of Turkish products in the global market.
Sectoral Cooperation and Product Placement Breakthrough Kazım Taycı, President of the Istanbul Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters' Association (İHBİR), announced that following the incentive decision, they would meet with production companies to take initiatives for Turkish flavors to be featured more prominently in scripts.
Mustafa Paşahan, Vice President of the Istanbul Ready-to-Wear and Apparel Exporters' Association (İHKİB), emphasized that collaborations such as product placement and showcasing production facilities in series are of critical importance to increasing the global brand awareness of Turkish companies.
