As part of the bank's responsible banking approach, these principles focus on fundamental values such as respect for human rights, transparency, accountability, and data privacy.
The bank aims to design AI applications that respond to societal expectations beyond just operational needs.
End-to-End Audit Mechanisms The published principles cover the entire lifecycle of AI systems, from the conceptual stage and development to usage and decommissioning.
A proactive approach is adopted to prevent potential risks and ethical violations.
Key responsibilities include ensuring human oversight in critical applications, as well as the accessibility of objection mechanisms and feedback channels.
AI as a Strategic Competency Gökhan Özdinç, Deputy General Manager of Yapı Kredi, emphasized that AI can only create lasting value through ethical responsibility and strong governance.
