51 Billion TL Support for Manufacturing Sector: 1.1 Million Jobs to be Protected

51 Billion Lira Resource for Manufacturing Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan has announced the details of the "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program," implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
With a budget of 51 billion liras allocated from the Unemployment Insurance Fund, the program aims to support businesses in the manufacturing sector and protect a total of 1.1 million jobs.
Cash Support for Labor-Intensive Sectors In the first phase of the program, labor-intensive sectors with high employment capacity, such as textiles, ready-to-wear clothing, leather, and furniture, will be prioritized.
Employers in these sectors who maintain their current employment levels will receive a monthly cash support of 3,500 liras per employee.
These payments can be used as a direct financial resource by being offset against the employers' public debts.
Financing and Credit Opportunities for SMEs The second pillar of the support package will facilitate access to financing for more than 221,000 manufacturing SMEs.
These businesses will be offered loan opportunities with a maximum 6-month grace period on the principal and a maturity of up to 36 months.
Minister Işıkhan noted that a total of 1.382 trillion liras in incentive payments across 15 different categories has been provided since 2004.
He emphasized that the premium support, known publicly as the "5-point incentive," will continue for the manufacturing sector.
