CBRT to Publish First Household Expectation Survey Results on February 24

A New Data Set: Household Expectation Survey The Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) will publicly share the results of the "Household Expectation Survey" (HBA) for the first time on February 24.
Designed to more accurately measure household expectations regarding key economic issues, the survey was implemented in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) and will serve as a strategic resource for monitoring economic forecasts.
Methodological Change in Inflation Expectations With the publication of the HBA, a significant methodological change will be introduced to the Sectoral Inflation Expectations (SEB) statistics.
According to the announcement by the CBRT, starting from January 2026, the new Household Expectation Survey data will replace the current "Consumer Tendency Survey" as the basis for 12-month-ahead consumer inflation expectations.
Comprehensive information regarding the methodology and technical details of the study will be published simultaneously with the results on the CBRT's official blog, "Merkezin Güncesi" (The Central Bank's Blog).
An article titled "A New Approach to Measuring Household Expectations: Household Expectation Survey" will explain the operation of the new system to the public.
