Record High in Construction Production The construction production index in Turkey reached its highest level in history during the final month of 2025.
This figure was recorded as the peak level in the history of the index.
According to the data, the unadjusted index stood at 151.2 points, while the seasonally and calendar-adjusted index balanced at 129.1 points.
Recovery After 2024 Slowdown Evaluating the data, Prof.
Ali Hepşen, a faculty member at Istanbul University Faculty of Business, stated that activity at construction sites became more pronounced starting from the second half of 2025.
Hepşen described this rise as a normalization process rather than a new leap, noting that the production slowdown experienced in 2024 was compensated for in 2025.
Emphasizing that unfinished projects accelerated as cost uncertainty decreased, Hepşen reminded that production growth alone does not reflect demand health or profitability.
He highlighted the importance of distinguishing between production volume and financial resilience.
Future Outlook and Sectoral Dynamics Regarding the sector's future dynamics and expectations for 2026, experts suggest that maintaining this momentum will depend on continued economic stability and the resolution of cost-related challenges.
The industry's ability to balance production with financial sustainability remains a key focus for the coming year.
