Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program Launched The "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program," developed through a collaboration between the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, has been officially introduced.
The signing ceremony, held at the KOSGEB building, was attended by Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan and Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır.
Under the program, approximately 51 billion liras from the Unemployment Insurance Fund have been allocated for the direct use of businesses in the manufacturing sector.
This new support package aims to help Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) maintain their employment capacity and facilitate their access to financing.
Cash Support and Favorable Loan Terms for SMEs As part of the project, SMEs that maintain their current employment levels will receive a monthly cash support payment of 3,500 liras per employee.
To address financing needs, a loan package has been prepared offering a 6-month grace period on principal payments and a total maturity of 36 months.
5-Point Premium Incentive Continues for Manufacturing During the ceremony, Minister Vedat Işıkhan emphasized that the total amount of incentives provided since 2004 has reached 1.382 trillion liras.
He also addressed the social security premium support known as the "5-point incentive." While the general rate for this incentive was recently reduced to 2 points, Işıkhan noted that the manufacturing sector has been exempted from this reduction.
Producers in the sector will continue to benefit from the 5-point premium incentive, which provides a significant cost advantage.
Highlighting the critical importance of production and employment for economic independence, Minister Işıkhan stated that ensuring the survival of labor-intensive businesses is a necessity.
The new program is expected to provide essential financial security for domestic producers in the global competitive environment.
