Egypt Launches Nuclear Diplomacy Offensive: Mediation Between Iran and the US

High-Level Diplomatic Contacts Egypt has initiated an extensive diplomatic campaign aimed at resolving the nuclear dispute between Iran and the United States and reducing regional tensions.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that high-level discussions were held over the past two days with representatives from Tehran, Washington, Muscat, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Under presidential directives, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held meetings with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi.
This diplomatic push was further expanded through consultations with IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi and the U.S.
Special Envoy for the Middle East, Steve Witkoff.
Emphasis on Regional Stability and Political Solutions According to a statement from the ministry, the primary objective of these talks is to establish a consensus-based foundation for the nuclear file.
Minister Abdelatty highlighted the sensitive period the region is experiencing, emphasizing that crises cannot be resolved through military means and that lasting stability can only be achieved through diplomatic channels.
The discussions focused on the importance of preparing the necessary groundwork for continued negotiations between the parties involved.
Critical Threshold Before Geneva Negotiations As Egypt's mediation efforts continue, an important confirmation regarding the process came from Oman.
Omani Foreign Minister Al-Busaidi announced that negotiations between the United States and Iran are scheduled to begin this Thursday in Geneva.
These talks are expected to provide new momentum to the nuclear agreement process and take concrete steps toward lowering tensions between the two nations.
