Number of Foreign Visitors to Turkey Exceeds 2.2 Million in January

Tourism Year Begins with Growth According to data released by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the number of foreign tourists visiting Turkey in January showed an annual increase of 3.48%.
A total of 2,246,000 foreign visitors were hosted in the first month of the year.
Iran Takes First Place, Followed by Russia In the ranking of countries sending the most visitors to Turkey in January, Iran took the top spot with 225,205 people.
However, a 6.42% decrease was recorded in the Iranian market compared to the same month last year.
The Russian Federation ranked second on the list with 220,160 visitors, representing an 8.06% annual increase.
Bulgaria followed in third place with 171,687 visitors, an increase of 3.56%, followed by Germany and Georgia.
Growth in Western Markets and the USA The number of visitors from the United Kingdom, one of Turkey's key source markets, increased by 0.94% compared to last year, reaching 73,037 in January.
Significant growth was also recorded in the United States market, where the number of tourists rose by 14.49% to reach 69,821 people.
