Farewell Decision Following RTÜK Sanctions The series Jasmine, which faced sanctions from the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) on the grounds that some of its scenes were contrary to national and spiritual values as well as general morality, is leaving the HBO Max Turkey platform.
In accordance with the decision, the production will be completely removed from the Turkey catalog as of February 18.
Administrative Fines and Episode Restrictions RTÜK had launched a comprehensive investigation into the digital broadcasting platform HBO Max Turkey in recent weeks.
The platform was issued a 5% administrative fine on the grounds that scenes in certain episodes of the series were contrary to general morality, and it was ruled that the episodes in question be removed from the catalog.
Process Concludes with Complete Removal As part of the sanctions, the first episode as well as episodes 2, 4, and 6 of the series had previously been taken down.
At the end of the audit process, it was decided to remove all episodes of the series from the Turkey catalog.
The broadcasting organization released a statement expressing regret over the decision.
