Macron Calls for Transparency from Tech Giants: "No Freedom Without Understanding Algorithms"

The French leader emphasized that the production processes and decision-making mechanisms of algorithms must be auditable by the public.
"If there is no transparency, freedom is a complete fallacy," Macron stated.
Strategic Cooperation Between France and India During the visit, the opening of a new artificial intelligence center focused on healthcare, established through cooperation between France and India, was announced.
Macron also revealed plans to increase the number of Indian students in France to 30,000 by 2030, aiming to strengthen educational ties between the two nations.
The Global AI Race and Ethical Values Addressing the global competition in AI technologies, Macron provided a realistic assessment of Europe's current standing.
He acknowledged that France and Europe currently lag behind the United States and China in this field.
However, he emphasized that they would remain in the race by centering ethical and human values.
Macron argued that technological development must grow not only with speed but also with social responsibility, asserting that states must take a more active role in the digital world to protect future generations.
