Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program: 51 Billion TL Support Package Announced

The Turkish Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Industry and Technology have launched a 51 billion TL support package to protect employment in the manufacturing sector, offering cash support per worker and credit facilities for SMEs.

Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program Launched The Turkish economic administration has announced a comprehensive package aimed at protecting employment in the manufacturing sector and supporting the financial sustainability of businesses.
Under the "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program," implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, 51 billion TL has been allocated from the Unemployment Insurance Fund.
3,500 TL Cash Support Per Employee The program focuses particularly on labor-intensive sectors such as textiles, ready-to-wear clothing, leather, and furniture.
Employers who maintain their current number of personnel will receive a monthly cash assistance of 3,500 TL for each employee.
These payments will be offset against the businesses' public debts, thereby reducing their financial burdens.
Loans Up to 50 Million TL for SMEs The financing arm of the program offers credit opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as large-scale firms.
Businesses will be able to access loans of up to 50 million TL in proportion to their employment costs.
These loans provided for SMEs will feature a grace period of up to 6 months for principal payments and a total maturity of 36 months.
Targeting Over 1 Million Jobs Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan stated that a total of 1.382 trillion TL in incentives has been provided since 2004 to support employment.
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır emphasized that they aim to protect the production capacity and workforce potential of the manufacturing industry through financing programs reaching a total of 100 billion TL.
