Agricultural Guarantee Support Program and Financing Goals Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı has announced new initiatives to be carried out under the Agricultural Guarantee Support Program.
Minister Yumaklı stated that in the first phase of the program, 30 billion TL in collateral will be provided for agricultural loans.
Yumaklı noted that the goal is to increase the budget and the participation of financial institutions in the coming periods, emphasizing that agriculture holds strategic importance for the independence and future of nations.
Production Planning and Food Supply Security Highlighting the harmony of land, labor, and capital for sustainable production, Minister Yumaklı emphasized that food supply security is the primary objective.
He stated that the production planning implemented as of 2025 is based on the efficient use of resources and a water-centered production approach.
Noting that producers have embraced this planning with positive results, Yumaklı said that financing serves as a lever in this process.
New Regulations in Loan Conditions Under the new support system aligned with production planning, additional supports and a 20% interest discount will be applied to producers who act in accordance with the plan.
Yumaklı stated that Treasury interest-supported loans have begun to be offered in 28 different categories in line with agricultural policies, integrating production planning and credit systems.
Minister Yumaklı added that they are offering a three-year perspective, aiming for all stakeholders to use financing resources effectively during this period.
