A New Tradition in Education: Activity Week The "End-of-Term Activity Week," implemented by the Ministry of National Education as part of the "Turkey Century Education Model," continues this year with a rich program where students can showcase their talents.
The activities, scheduled for the final week of the first semester of the 2024-2025 academic year, aim to support the social and cultural development of students.
Strengthening Bonds with the 'Family and Play' Theme Planned within the capabilities of each school and involving active parent participation, this year's activities highlight the theme of "Family and Play." The program includes various initiatives designed to support students' physical, social, and emotional development while making their artistic productions visible: Sports competitions and tournaments Documentary and animation screenings Social responsibility projects Traditional children's games Exhibitions and workshops Creative reading activities Kindness Culture with 'Turkey Greets' One of the most notable initiatives of the week is the "Turkey Greets" (Türkiye Selamlaşıyor) activity, which aims to strengthen social ties and spread a culture of kindness.
Throughout the week, students accompanied by their teachers will walk through streets and avenues, offering well wishes to local shopkeepers and citizens using colorful cards inscribed with greeting phrases.
This initiative is intended to reinforce the connection between schools and the community.
