In operations carried out simultaneously across all 81 provinces of Turkey, particularly in Ankara, basic food items and essential goods are being closely monitored.
Shelf and Register Prices Under Scrutiny Provincial Directorate of Trade teams are meticulously checking the alignment between shelf prices and cash register prices in chain supermarkets.
Additionally, detailed investigations are being conducted to determine whether unfair price increases have been implemented.
Any irregularities detected during the inspections are recorded in official reports and referred to the Unfair Price Evaluation Board for the application of necessary administrative sanctions.
Inspections to Continue Throughout Ramadan Ankara Provincial Director of Trade Elif Tan emphasized that inspections have been intensified across Turkey in line with the Ministry's instructions.
In her statement, Tan noted that inspections in local and national supermarkets will continue uninterrupted to prevent market price volatility before and during the month of Ramadan.
