Strategic Plan and Digital Security Goals The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has established a comprehensive roadmap to protect Turkey's digital infrastructure and develop its cyber defense capabilities.
Within the framework of the 2024-2028 Strategic Plan, the ministry aims to elevate electronic communication and information technology security to the highest level.
In this context, new national standards will be implemented to protect data and systems.
Smart Transportation Systems and Data Management The Ministry plans to establish data management centers to ensure the effective use of data generated by public institutions, municipalities, and the private sector within the scope of smart transportation systems.
The number of updated service packages within the national smart transportation systems architecture is expected to reach 20 by the end of the year.
National Cyber Defense and Response Tools Audits of cyber incident response centers are being tightened to protect critical infrastructures.
During this process, the production of cyber response tools and security solutions using national resources is among the primary priorities.
The goal is to reduce foreign dependency through domestic software and defense mechanisms.
Gradual Increase in Cyber Exercises The number of exercises organized to test cyber defense capabilities and strengthen inter-institutional coordination is being gradually increased.
While 11 national and international cybersecurity exercises are planned to be carried out by the end of this year, this number is targeted to increase to 12 next year and 13 by 2028.
