International Investigation: Red Notice Issued A significant development has occurred in the investigation into the murder of 38-year-old Chinese businessman Yong Wang, whose body was found buried in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul.
Following extensive work by the Istanbul Police Department's Missing Persons Bureau, Interpol has issued a Red Notice for five Chinese suspects linked to the crime.
Planned Trap and Kidnapping Security camera footage reviewed by police revealed that Wang was forcibly kidnapped by four individuals who emerged from another vehicle as he was leaving a restaurant with his girlfriend, Shuyang Liu.
Investigators noted that the girlfriend did not intervene during the abduction, leading to the conclusion that the incident was a premeditated trap.
Forensic examinations determined that Wang was killed by a blow to the head with a blunt object.
His body was found buried vertically in the ground in Arnavutköy.
Muddy pickaxes and shovels, believed to have been used in the crime, were recovered at the scene.
Motive: Crypto Assets Authorities have identified the primary motive for the murder as the victim's digital assets.
It was determined that Yong Wang's mobile phone and cryptocurrency wallet were stolen, and funds were transferred from his account.
Investigation records show that Shuyang Liu arrived in Turkey on January 19, while the other four suspects entered the country on January 16.
All five suspects left Turkey for Beijing on January 21, shortly after the incident.
International efforts are ongoing to apprehend the suspects, identified as Shuyang Liu, Chao Wien, Zhuangyoun Wang, Zhen Qın, and Chadong Wang, following the issuance of the Red Notice.
