Digital Media and Algorithm-Oriented News Production Training Held in Muğla

Digital Transformation and the Role of Algorithms The Muğla Regional Directorate of the Presidency's Directorate of Communications conducted a comprehensive training program aimed at local media members, communication representatives from public institutions, and students from the Faculty of Communication.
Speaking at the opening of the event, Muğla Regional Director Ahmet Uzun emphasized that digital platforms have fundamentally altered news consumption habits.
Uzun highlighted the decisive role of algorithms in accessing information and addressed the critical importance of disseminating accurate information and combating disinformation within today's media ecosystem.
Stating that keeping pace with technological transformation is a necessity, Uzun noted that increasing the digital capacity of local media is among their primary objectives.
Artificial Intelligence and Digital Ethics As part of the training program, interactive sessions were held on the integration of artificial intelligence tools into news writing processes and digital ethics rules.
Participants were provided with information on how to operate verification mechanisms on digital platforms where disinformation spreads rapidly, as well as the vital importance of utilizing reliable sources.
