New Strategy and Public Interest in Broadcasting The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has announced the adoption of a new strategic approach that places conscience, ethics, and public interest at the center of the broadcasting world.
In a statement made by RTÜK President Mehmet Daniş, it was expressed that the impact of media should not be measured solely by rating data, and that prioritizing social responsibility is a necessity.
The 3A Formula: Reason, Family, and Morality As part of the new approach aimed at protecting public order, general morality, and public health, the "3A" formula is being implemented.
This formula is based on three fundamental elements in broadcasting: Reason (Akıl): Aiming for a rational approach and the basis of accurate information within the framework of protecting the mind.
Family (Aile): Aiming to observe the family structure, which is the building block of society, and to protect this structure in broadcast content.
Morality (Ahlak): Based on encouraging content that complies with general moral rules and social ethical values.
The Social Role of Media and Future Vision The statement emphasized that media is not just a source of entertainment or news, but also a powerful tool that shapes cultural values.
Daniş stated that producing content focused on social benefit and in line with media ethics is of critical importance for the healthy construction of the future.
In the new period, it was noted that the understanding of responsible broadcasting that prioritizes the public interest will continue to be supported, and these criteria will be applied as fundamental benchmarks in broadcast monitoring processes.
