Current Data on the Treasury-Backed Guarantee System The Ministry of Treasury and Finance has released updated figures as of February 6 regarding loans and guarantees provided to a wide range of businesses, from exporters to manufacturers.
The Treasury-backed guarantee system, implemented to facilitate access to finance for firms with insufficient collateral, has facilitated a total loan volume of 995,078,927,000 lira since 2009.
The total amount of guarantees provided for these loans reached 834.182 billion lira, while the guarantee risk balance was calculated at 151.730 billion lira.
Commercial Loans and Sectoral Distribution The amount of commercial loans utilized by businesses through the system reached 953.438 billion lira.
The total guarantee amount for these loans was recorded at 800.686 billion lira, with the number of commercial loans totaling 1,387,900.
According to the breakdown of commercial loan types, the distribution is as follows: Operating loans: 715.886 billion lira Investment loans: 68.143 billion lira Non-cash loans: 16.656 billion lira On a sectoral basis, the manufacturing industry held the highest share of the guarantee amount provided for commercial loans, at 45.31%.
During this period, 504.630 billion lira in guarantees were provided to SMEs, while 121.727 billion lira were allocated to non-SME enterprises.
The system continues to support production and employment-oriented businesses by easing their access to financing through the Credit Guarantee Fund and related mechanisms.
