Capital Ankara Returns to the Route After Years The Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey (TUR) has made a significant change for its 61st edition in 2026 by re-incorporating the capital city, Ankara, into its route.
As the home of both the Presidency, for which the race is named, and the Turkish Cycling Federation, Ankara's inclusion reinforces its place in the tour's historical and institutional memory.
The city, which has previously hosted the European Road Cycling Championship and various Gran Fondo events, serves as a central hub where cycling strategies are shaped.
By adding Ankara to the route, iconic landmarks such as Anıtkabir, the First Parliament building, Atatürk Forest Farm, and the Presidential Complex will be showcased to a global audience through the international broadcast of the race.
Eight Stages Starting from Çeşme Organized under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the tour will take place between April 26 and May 3, 2026.
The race, starting from the Aegean coast and ending in the heart of Central Anatolia, covers a total distance of 1,201 kilometers.
Athletes starting from Çeşme will navigate challenging stages through the natural beauty of the Aegean and Mediterranean regions before the grand finale in Ankara.
