Limited Retreat in the BIST 100 Index The BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul closed the first half of the day at 13,771.49 points, representing a 0.24% decrease.
During the first half of the session, the total trading volume reached 76.4 billion liras, while sectoral divergences were observed in the markets.
In contrast, the holding index experienced a decline of 1.33%.
The highest increase in the first half of the day was seen in the financial leasing and factoring sector with 2.92%, while the most significant losses were recorded in the holding and investment trust sectors.
Real Sector Confidence Index and Capacity Utilization On the economic data front, the Real Sector Confidence Index for February increased by 2.5 points compared to the previous month, rising to 104.1.
Meanwhile, the non-seasonally adjusted capacity utilization rate (CUR) in the manufacturing industry decreased by 0.6 points during the same period, remaining at 73.5%.
Analyst Expectations and Technical Levels Analysts stated that for the remainder of the day, the focus will be on the heavy data flow from the US, particularly growth figures and Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE).
From a technical perspective, the 13,600 and 13,500 point levels are being monitored as support for the BIST 100 index, while 13,900 and 14,000 points are identified as resistance levels.
