BIST 100 Index Rises 0.81% to 14,522.59 Points in First Half

Market Performance The BIST 100 index rose 0.81% to 14,522.59 points in the first half of the trading day on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
Total trading volume reached 148.4 billion lira.
The banking index gained 0.13% and the holding index 0.16%.
The chemical, oil and plastic sector led gains with a 3.39% increase, while the IT sector suffered the largest decline at 3.69%.
New attacks in the Middle East heightened concerns over energy supply, reducing risk appetite in global markets.
Domestic markets continued to diverge positively.
Technical analysts noted that the afternoon data agenda would be calm both domestically and internationally, and identified 14,600 and 14,700 points as resistance levels and 14,400 and 14,300 points as support levels for the BIST 100 index.
