Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program The signing ceremony for the "Manufacturing Industry Financing and Employment Protection Program," implemented through the cooperation of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, has been held.
Under the program, approximately 51 billion liras from the Unemployment Insurance Fund have been directly allocated to the manufacturing sector.
Minister Vedat Işıkhan stated that this support aims to protect employment and bolster the industry's workforce.
Cash Support for Employers Protecting Jobs In the first phase, employers in sectors with high employment capacity—such as textiles, ready-to-wear, leather, and furniture—who maintain their current number of employees will receive a monthly cash support of 3,500 liras per employee.
This support will be provided as a direct resource by being offset against the employers' public debts.
Financing Shield for SMEs The second pillar of the program includes financing facilities specifically for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs).
More than 221,000 workplaces will gain access to loan opportunities with a maximum 6-month grace period on principal payments and a maturity of up to 36 months.
Employment Targets and Incentives Minister Işıkhan emphasized that they aim to protect a total of 1.1 million jobs through these measures.
Highlighting that a total of 1.382 trillion liras in incentive payments have been made since 2004, Işıkhan noted that the "5-point incentive" will continue for the manufacturing sector, while it has been reduced to 2 points for other sectors.
Stating that the manufacturing sector is the guarantee of national development, Işıkhan added that the state will continue to stand by producers to increase Turkey's overall production power.
