The inspections also focus on identifying discrepancies between shelf prices and cash register prices.
Administrative Sanctions and Penalties Violations identified during the inspections are reported to the Unfair Price Evaluation Board.
These measures are intended to prevent opportunistic pricing behavior that may occur during the Ramadan period.
Administrative fines are being imposed on businesses that fail to comply with the established regulations.
Process to Continue Uninterrupted Elif Tan, the Ankara Provincial Director of Trade, stated that inspections are not limited to the capital but are being carried out simultaneously in all 81 provinces.
Emphasizing that basic food and consumption products are the priority, Tan noted that controls will continue without interruption throughout and after the month of Ramadan to protect the economic interests of citizens.
